Selection of projects

  • Current job offers and vacancies are continuously published on the homepage of the Cluster of Excellence (CoE) Circular Bioengineering https://www.circularbioengineering.at/jobs and linked platforms 

  • Open positions are assigned to the respective programs of the CoE Circular Bioengineering 

  • Along with the job description, here you will find more information about the key researchers and institutes involved, the duration of the contract and the place of employment.

  • Please note that we will not be able to process your application without this form

  • Following additional documents have to be submitted as .pdf files

    • Curriculum vitae

    • Copy of passport

    • Copy of applicant’s bachelor, master/diploma certificate

    • A translation of the documents is necessary if the original documents are not in English or German

  • The filled application forms must be sent as attachments in one email to:

Further application procedure - Online hearing and interview

  • Candidates will be selected for further hearings and interviews based on their submitted documents.

  • Selected candidates will be invited for online hearing (scientific presentation + Q&A) by a panel of key researchers.

  • Detailed guidelines for the hearing will be sent to candidates together with their invitation.

  • Appointments for the online hearing will be arranged the key researchers of the panel

  • After the hearing, candidates may be invited to a further individual interview rounds with the key researcher(s) of the selected projects.

Contract details and PhD-student’s benefits

Applicants who are admitted to the COE Circular Bioengineering will receive financial compensation for their daily work according to the regulations of the Austrian Science Fund (FWF) and in accordance with the regulations of the host universities for 36 or 48 months, depending on the project. They also receive full social security coverage. The typical annual gross salary is 2.786,10 € (payable 14 times per year, 30 hours/week) but may vary slightly between universities.

PhD-students will also enrol in the doctoral schools of their respective universities. Further details will be provided by the respective key researcher leading the project.
