Thomas Rosenau, one of our key researchers, was awarded an honorary doctorate from Aalto University!
The honorary doctorate is the highest honour Aalto University can confer and is granted to distinguished persons in the fields of science and technology with strong ties to the University.
The schools of technology at Aalto University recognise Prof. Rosenau’s outstanding scientific achievements in the field of renewable chemistry and his long-standing collaboration with the University. They highlight “his leadership in green chemistry and biopolymer research, and significant contributions to wood chemistry and the study of biopolymers like cellulose and lignin”. His expertise is integral to the research in Program 1: Green Cycles of Renewable Materials at the Cluster of Excellence Circular Bioengineering.
